About Us

Pure Biomass Inc. provides reliable, sustainable, and robust algae cultivation systems, along with the operational training and technical guidance to run them. Our mission is to propel the algae industry into a new era of surplus production, where innovation can flourish around a variety of valuable bio-products. Pure Biomass is determined to attain this goal through the use of our game-changing, proprietary technologies. The technology portfolio includes photo-bioreactors ranging from 20 to 55,000 Liter volumes, accompanied by auxiliary products and consulting. Pure Biomass systems allow for production facilities to reduce their carbon footprint and maintain a low rate of water consumption, in order to minimize their impact on the local and global environment. We are motivated by our belief that sustainable aquaculture offers valuable potential to meet global needs in human health, environmental stewardship, and economic development.

Global Sustainability

Growing populations are emitting greater amounts of carbon dioxide into our atmosphere, contributing to global warming and climate change. Microalgae readily metabolizes CO2 as a food source; PureBiomass has developed the TriPAR System to enable large-scale production of microalgae across the globe and combat rising levels of CO2.

Background

Microalgae cultivation is a form of aquaculture with great potential for the sustainable production of a diverse range of products; this includes nutraceuticals, vitamins, omega-3 oils, probiotics, pigments, amino acids, live feed for shellfish production, and supplementary proteins for fish, poultry, swine, and beef feed. We believe that PureBiomass technology has applicability across any and all markets that currently rely on algal cultivation. Microalgae has also been identified as an alternative biofuel feedstock that could one day meet global energy demands and provide a green alternative for wastewater treatment. PureBiomass strives to support this diverse range of markets with economic, societal and environmental relevance, all of which share one common necessity: a reliable and robust platform for the large-scale production of microalgae biomass at a minimal cost. We have specifically designed the PureBiomass systems to meet the needs of this rapidly evolving global bio-economy.

What Makes Us Sustainable?

GLOBAL FOOD SECURITY & HUNGER

Microalgae typically are a balanced mix of protein, lipid, and carbohydrates, which in addition to direct human consumption, make an excellent feed source for aquaculture and livestock. While current production rates do little to alleviate global hunger, there is very significant potential of algae to be produced at a scale that will have a major impact in all future global economies.

ENERGY EFFICIENCY & CLIMATE CHANGE

Our energy efficient TriPAR design offers improvements over existing technology by reducing water usage and increasing energy savings due to reduced water processing and elimination of a cooling requirement. We designed the TriPAR system to run on just atmospheric concentrations of CO2. By assisting in the reduction of greenhouse gasses, which mitigate future climate change, ultimately results in an positive impact on global warming.

SUSTAINABLE BIOENERGY

Algae are recognized as one of the most ideal feedstock’s for the production of biofuel due to their superior productivity and potential for high oil content compared to land based plants. Therefore, the development of the TriPAR system provides a platform for alternative and renewable energy by providing an optimized design for sustainable production of algal biomass, which could be utilized as a feedstock for bioenergy.
